1. Introduction and Consent

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") outlines the manner in which your personal information is collected, utilized, stored, and disclosed by Zoltáni Hunor ("the Developer"), the developer of Oneiro ("the Application"). By accessing or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy.

2. Data Collection and Storage

All user-generated content, including dream entries, interpretations, and visualizations, is stored locally on the user's device. While the Application processes dream content through third-party services to generate interpretations and visualizations, this data is not permanently stored on our servers. Generated visualizations are temporarily retained for quality assurance purposes for a maximum period of one hour, after which they are automatically deleted from our systems. The Developer has no access to dream contents or their interpretations at any time.

3. Data Deletion

If the user wishes to delete all data associated with the Application, they may do so by uninstalling the Application from all devices on which it has been installed. This action will result in the removal of all data stored by the Application.

4. App Store Distribution and In-App Purchases

When the Application is downloaded from the Apple App Store, or when in-app purchases are made, Apple Inc. ("Apple") processes personal information related to such transactions and associates this information with your Apple ID. The Developer does not have access to any information pertaining to your financial accounts, including bank account details, credit or debit card information, or other personal financial data.

To facilitate in-app purchases, the Application utilizes the services of RevenueCat, which may collect and process data including, but not limited to, the last access time of the Application, the category of product purchased, and the frequency of application usage. This information is associated with randomly generated anonymous identifiers and is not traceable to any specific individual. Users are encouraged to consult Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for additional details.

5. Third-Party Services

The Application may employ third-party services to provide functionality, which may necessitate access to certain personal information. The list of such third-party services is subject to change; users are advised to review this Policy regularly. As of the most recent update, the third-party services include:

The Operator is not responsible for the data handling practices of these third-party services. The Application may also contain links to external websites or applications operated by third parties. The Operator does not exercise control over such external sites or applications and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Users are advised to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites or applications they interact with. Access to and use of such third-party services is at the user's own risk.

6. Use of AIProxy, OpenAI, and Replicate Services

The Application allows users to create and interpret dreams with AI-generated visualizations. When a dream is created by the user, the following process occurs:

  • The dream content is first transmitted to AIProxy, which acts as an intermediary between the Application and third-party services. AIProxy masks the API keys to protect them during the communication process.
  • AIProxy forwards the content to OpenAI, where an interpretation of the dream is generated.
  • The content is then processed again through AIProxy and OpenAI to create an image generation prompt.
  • This image generation prompt is sent through AIProxy to Replicate, where an AI model generates the visualization.
  • The interpretation and generated image are sent back through AIProxy, which relays the results to the user within the Application.

It is important to note that while the content is processed by OpenAI and Replicate, the Developer does not have access to the dream contents or their interpretations. The generated visualizations are temporarily accessible to the Developer for quality assurance purposes for a period of one hour, after which they are automatically deleted from the system. All data generated by the Application is stored locally on the user's device. The processing is conducted solely for the purpose of providing the user with the requested service, and any data transmitted is handled according to the respective privacy policies of the third-party services. Users are encouraged to review the OpenAI Privacy Policy, Replicate Privacy Policy, and AIProxy Privacy Policy.

7. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

The terms of this Privacy Policy are subject to modification at the sole discretion of the Developer. Users are encouraged to review this Policy periodically to remain informed of any changes. Continued use of the Application following the posting of any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
